Outreach calls will be made between November 2023 to April 2024 to eligible patients.
Between November 2023 and April 2024, patients identified as tobacco users at a clinical encounter at one of the UCSF Cancer Center departments will be eligible to receive an outreach call.
The calls will follow up with patients' tobacco use status and identify those interested in being connected to smoking cessation resources.

Calls will be made in English, Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin.

Calls will take 3-5 minutes to complete.

If patient is interested in smoking cessation resources, a tobacco treatment specialist at the UCSF Fontana Tobacco Treatment Center will call them.
