CareConnect aims to connect patients with cancer and who currently use tobacco to tobacco cessation services through automated phone calls or text messaging.
Between November 2023 and April 2024, patients who indicated using tobacco products will be eligible to receive an outreach call.
This call will ask questions to help follow up with the patient's tobacco use status and connect patients to smoking cessation resources that they desire.
Calls will be in English, Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin.

This project is supported by the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP). (UCSF IRB #: 22-37433)
